NOTICE

VACANCY FOR THE POST OF NURSERY TRAINED TEACHER (NTT),
PRIMARY TEACHER (PRT), ACCTS ASST AND HELPER (AYAH) AT AF SCHOOL
AMRITSAR CANTT FOR AY: 2026-27

  1. Applications are invited for the post of Nursery Trained Teacher (NTT), PRT, Accts Asst and Helper (Ayah) at Air Force School Amritsar Cantt. Eligible candidates are to submit their application along with complete bio-data and photocopies of certificates to Air Force School Amritsar Cantt by post or applications can be dropped in a sealed box kept at the Main Guard Room or can be received through school e-mail latest by 03 Feb 26 (R).

2. Mandatory Qualification for NTT

  1. Senior Secondary with Nursery Teachers Training or Diploma in Nursery/ Preprimary/Montessori/Preprimary. While candidates with higher qualifications may apply, preference is to be given to candidates with diploma in Nursery/Montessori Training.
  2. Should be in age group of 21 to 50 years as on 01 Jul 2026.
  3. Women candidates and physically challenged candidates will be given age relaxation up to a maximum of five years.
  4. Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit. Such ex-servicemen candidates, if selected for the post, will also retire for the school as per rules of the Society.
  5. Candidates with at least two years continuous service as a PGT/TGT/PRT in any Air Force School will be given age relaxation up to the extent of such service rendered in Air Force School.
  6. Should be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.

3. Desirable Qualification for NTT (Due Weightage Will Be Given During Selection)

  1. Basic knowledge of computer applications, especially MS office.
  2. Should be able to read/write communicate in Hindi.
  3. Experience in art, craft, cartoon, caricature, puppet making, music, dance etc.

4. Mandatory Qualification for PRT

  1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) at least 50% marks and 02-year Diploma in Elementary education (by whatever known) from a recognized Board.

    Or

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) at least 50% marks and four years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B El Ed)

    Or

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Education (Special Education)

    Or

    Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B Ed) from any NCTE recognized institute along with 06-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE.
  2. Should be in the age group of 21 to 50 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled.
  3. Women candidates and physically challenged candidates will be given age relaxation upto a maximum of five years.
  4. Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit. Such ex-servicemen candidates, if selected for the post, will also retire from the School as per rules of the Society.
  5. Candidates with at least two years’ continuous service as a PGT/TGT or three years as a PRT/NTT in any Air Force School but presently not working in an Air Force School, will be given age relaxation upto the extent of such service rendered in Air Force School.
  6. Should be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.

5. Desirable Qualification for PRT (Due Weightage Will Be Given During Selection)

  1. Knowledge of computer applications, especially MS Office.
  2. Ability to read/write/communicate in Hindi.
  3. CTET/STET qualified candidates will be given additional weightage during selection.

6. Mandatory Qualification for Accounts Assistant

  1. B Com from a Govt recognised University with knowledge of accounts and book-keeping.
  2. Typing speed of at least 40 wpm in English.
  3. Basic knowledge of computer applications, especially MS Office.
  4. Should be in the age group of 25 to 50 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled.
  5. Women candidates and physically challenged candidates will be given age relaxation upto a maximum of five years.
  6. Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit. Such ex-servicemen candidates, if selected for the post, will also retire from the School as per rules of the Society.
  7. Candidates with at least two years continuous service in any Air Force School but presently not working in an Air Force School, will be given age relaxation upto the extent of such service rendered in Air Force School, subject to a maximum of two years. Serving staff of the School who apply for the post will also be eligible for the same.
  8. Should be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English and Hindi.

7. Mandatory Qualification for Helpers (Ayah)

  1. Should be in the age group of 21 to 40 years as on 01 July of the academic year in which the post is being filled.
  2. Women candidates and physically challenged candidates will be given age relaxation upto a maximum of five years.
  3. Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in not less than six months of continuous service in the Army, Navy or the Air Force shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, they shall be deemed to have satisfied the condition regarding age limit. Such ex-servicemen candidates, if selected for the post, will also retire from the School as per rules of the Society.
  4. Candidates with at least two years continuous service in any Air Force School but presently not working in an Air Force School, will be given age relaxation upto the extent of such service rendered in Air Force School, subject to a maximum of two years.
